At our wellness studio, we teach a variety of yoga styles to suit your needs. Each class incorporates gentle yoga postures and mindfulness meditation.
In the integrative mindful movement class, we practise gentle stretches which are suitable for all ages, body shape and abilities. We emphasise mindfulness throughout the sessions, to enhance the ability to stay mentally focused, reduce mental fatigue and improve mental clarity.
Significant events such as trauma and challenging life circumstances may create stress and anxiety, which can be held in the body. This may include feelings of mental fogginess, heightened emotions, fatigue, tense shoulders and body tensions, aches or pain.
We specialise in trauma sensitive yoga, for those who may have experienced extreme levels of stress and past trauma. In a small group (no larger than 5 people), you will be supported through a series of movements and breathing exercises, designed to help you orient to the present moment.
You will leave the class feeling more grounded, self aware, safe and confident in your own body and in your surroundings.
